Women's Soccer Shutout by St. Thomas Aquinas

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Redhawks' women's soccer team dropped its eighth straight game on Saturday afternoon, losing to Saint Thomas Aquinas, 2-0.

The Spartans' Victoria DiMarco scored the first goal of the game in the 25th minute off a rebounded shot by Mekenzi Moreau who was credited with the assist. The visitors added the insurance goal in the 55th minute to go up 2-0. Tauntyonah Guinter was the goal scorer.

Most of the Redhawks' offensive opportunities came in the second half. Senior forward Mackenzie Kidder fired off a couple of open shots that had a chance at goal, but STAC starting goalkeeper Courtney Dumain kept them out to keep her clean sheet intact. She made seven saves on the day. On the opposite side, sophomore Kelsey Brinkel made five saves in the game for Roberts.

The Redhawks move on to face Queens on Saturday at home. The game is slated for 1 p.m.
