Valhalla, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team picked up their third win of the season Tuesday night in a 71-66 win over Mercy College.

Manny Joseph led the way with 15 points and nine rebounds for the Redhawks in what was their second win over Mercy this season.

Roberts Wesleyan was able to build a double digit lead in the first half when a dunk by
Dwayne Roberts put the Redhawks up 25-14. Mercy was able to rally quickly with a 9-1 run to tighten the score and found themselves only down one point at the halftime buzzer.

The Redhawks were again able to create an 11 point lead in the second half, but Mercy answered with a 13-0 run to take the lead 51-49 with 11:17 left in the game. The lead changed hands seven more times with Roberts taking the lead with 3:44 remaining and were able to hold on from there securing a 71-66 victory.

Roberts struggled from three point range going just 6-of-21 (28.6%) while also hitting under 40-percent from the field.

Roberts Wesleyan (3-21, 2-13 ECC) will take on NYIT on Saturday in Old Westbury, N.Y. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.
