Quinn Carey hit a career high nine three pointers on his way to 32 points, but it wasn't enough as the Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team fell to East Coast Conference opponent Bridgeport on Friday night, 76-96.

Carey shot 9-for-16 (56.3%) from long range to break his individual career record of eight made threes in a game that dated back to December of 2015 against Geneseo. Carey's performance also tied him for second all-time in the Roberts records books for made three pointers in a single game.

Junior
Manny Joseph also put together a solid game scoring 22 points, pulling down six rebounds, and adding six assists.

The Redhakws played a competitive first half but fell flat with just over seven minutes remaining in the first half as the Purple Knights went on 17-0 run to go into the half with a ten point lead.

In the second half Roberts, led by the aggressive offensive attack of Joseph were able to cut the lead to three points with the score reading 49-52, but the Redhawks were never able to claim the lead from the Purple Knights as the visitors answered nearly every shot Roberts took.

Roberts Wesleayn (2-19, 1-11 ECC) will host Queens College on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Voller Athletic Center.
