Rochester, N.Y. – A 21 point comeback attempt in the second half fell short Wednesday evening as the Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team lost to Queens College 65-62.

Down 28-36 at the half, Queens came out of the break on a 13-0 run to put the Redhawks down by 21 points.
Davon Jackson's free throw at the 14:27 mark gave Roberts their first basket of the second half ending the scoring drought that began with 1:25 remaining in the first half.

The Redhawks began slowly cutting into the Knight's lead and tied the score at 59-59 with 58 seconds left in the second half off an
Isaiah Lewis layup. The layup followed a big three point shot by
Quinn Carey to cut the lead to two points. Queens came back down the floor capitalizing on a three point play on a layup and a foul. With 17 seconds on the clock Carey got a step on his defender and his three point game tying shot rattled out of the rim. After two made free throws by the Knights, Carey hit a three the next trip down the floor to make the score 62-64 with eight seconds left. Queens connected on one-of-two free throws giving the Redhawks a chance to tie the game with a three, but
Manny Joseph's last second shot was long giving Queens the 65-62 win.

Jackson had a double-double for the Redhawks off the bench with ten points and 11 rebounds, six of those being offensive boards. Lewis led the team in scoring with 19 points.

Roberts was 21-of-64 (32.8%) from the field struggling from beyond the arc hitting just 3-of-19 (15.8%) in the game.

The Knights were led by Tyree White who scored 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds.
