ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team got off to a slow start on Saturday as they fell to Seton Hill, 8-4.
Seton Hill put up the first three goals of the game before a goal by
AJ Hemms in the second quarter got the Redhawks on the board. The Griffins found the back of the net again right before the end of the first half to take a 4-1 lead into the halftime break.
In the second half,
Cody Menzies got the offense moving for the Redhawks with a goal in the 9
th minute of play.
Jordan Crusha's goal at the 11:39 mark of the fourth quarter cut the lead to 6-3.
Brady Bermingham followed up with a goal three minutes later to cut the lead to two. But Seton Hill closed the game with two goals of their own to secure the 8-4 victory.
The Griffins dominated offensive possession getting off 46 shots with 25 on net. Senior goalkeeper
Keith Keehn made 17 saves on the day. The Redhawks had 17 shots with 13 on frame.
Roberts will take on Chestnut Hill College on the road next Saturday, April 8th at 1 p.m.
