SPARKILL, N.Y. – A late fourth quarter goal was the difference in a 5-4 loss Monday evening for the Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team as they fell to Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Senior attacker
Alex Bianchi scored one of his two goals with 4:15 left in the fourth quarter to tie the score at four apiece. But it was the Spartans who struck last with a goal from Briele Caples with less than two minutes to play to give the host team a 5-4 advantage. St. Thomas Aquinas would hold onto that lead until the final whistle.

Cody Menzies were the other goal scorers for the Redhawks.

The Spartans had the upper hand in the shot category, outshooting the Redhawks 39-30. Senior
Keith Keehn made 16 saves on the day.

Roberts falls to 4-7 on the season and 1-3 in East Coast Conference play. Roberts will travel to take on the University of the District of Columbia on Saturday at 3 p.m.
