BROOKEVILLE, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team was unable to snap an eight game losing streak on Saturday falling to LIU Post, 10-5.
Four players scored for the Redhawks with
Cody Menzies leading the way with two goals.
Alex Bianchi and
Brady Martin both added a goal and an assist while
AJ Hemms also scored a goal.
Bianchi's goal with three seconds left in the first quarter brought the Redhawks within one of the lead with the Pioneers holding a 3-2 advantage. But LIU scored four unanswered goals to take a 7-2 lead in the third quarter.
LIU Post was led by Austin Guerinna's three goal, one assist performance.
The Redhawks were outshot 46-19 with only nine of those shots being on target.
Senior
Keith Keehn made 15 saves in net.
Roberts Wesleyan (4-11, 1-7 ECC) head into the final game of the season on Sunday when they face off against Georgian Court University at 4:30 p.m.
