ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Orla Martin's lone goal in the 21st minute of action gave the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Le Moyne in the 2017 season opener.
 
Martin, a senior forward collected a rebound off a shot from sophomore Maya Rutland and buried it in the back of the net to give the Redhawks the lead. Martin led the team in shots for the game with five. Rutland got off four shots.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Brinkel made several crucial saves on the day, making nine saves in total.
 
The Dolphins outshot the Redhawks 16-15 in the game, but Roberts edged Le Moyne 10-9 with shots on goal.
 
The Redhawks prepare to travel to Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday to face off against Wilmington University. The game is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
