NEWARK, DEL. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team fell to Wilmington University on Saturday afternoon 1-0.

The Wildcats scored the game winner in the 62nd minute when Jessica Unsihuay deflected the ball in off a cross from Preslie Quaranta.

The Redhawks created good offensive opportunities in the second half but were unable to come away with a goal leaving them with their first loss of the season. The team totaled eight shots in the game with seven of those coming in the second half.

"We played a bit of a lackluster first half," said head coach
Sarah McClellan. "We had a much stronger second half and had some great chances but we were unable to capitalize."

Kelsey Brinkel had seven saves in her full 90 minutes of action in net.

Roberts (1-1) continues play tomorrow when they face Goldey-Beacom College at 1 p.m.
