ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan volleyball team couldn't pick up an East Coast Conference victory on Wednesday evening, losing to Daemen, 3-0.

After being down 1-0 following the opening set the Redhawks got off to a quick start in the second, jumping out to a 5-2 lead. But the lead quickly vanished as the Wildcats stormed back with five straight points to grab a 7-5 advantage. Roberts kept the score tight late in the set at 20-18, but Daemen went on a run again to jump ahead 24-18 before winning the set 25-19.

Courtney Taylor led the Redhawks with eight kills and a .333 hitting percentage.
Elisabeth Rivera had 12 assists in the match.

Next up for Roberts is a matchup against Pace University on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Voller Athletic Center.
