ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A winner could not be decided in Wednesday evening's matchup between the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team and The College of Saint Rose as the game ended in a 0-0 draw after two overtime periods.
The Redhawks spent most of the first half in their defensive end not getting a shot off on goal. In the second half Roberts put four shots on goal but were unable to get on the board.
In the first overtime period the Golden Knights nearly sealed the victory when Nina Predanic's shot hit the post, but the Redhawks were able to scramble and clear the ball.
Senior forward
Orla Martin led Roberts on offense with three shots and two on net. Sophomore goalkeeper
Kelsey Brinkel played the full game in goal and made three saves.
The Redhawks sit at 1-2-1 in the standings and will host Tiffin University on Friday, September 8. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
