ROCHESTER, N.Y. – An overtime winning goal was the decider in the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer game on Friday night as they fell to Tiffin University, 2-1.

Tiffin senior forward, Adrianna Currie scored her second goal of the night during the first overtime period and 98th minute of play to give the Dragons their first win of the season. The assist came from Sierra Besecker.

The Redhawks were the first team to get on the board with a goal in the 22nd minute. Senior
Orla Martin skied above the defenders to head home a corner kick taken by
Olivia Avery. It was Martin's second goal of the season.

The Dragons responded at the 37:04 mark when Currie snuck a low show past Redhawk's goalkeeper
Kelsey Brinkel.

Both teams were able to get many shots off in the game with Tiffin having 14 in total and ten on net. Roberts got 15 shots off but only four were on target. Brinkel came up with eight saves in the game for the Redhawks.

The Redhawks finish up a busy stretch of five games in nine days. Roberts will have a week break before jumping into East Coast Conference competition on September 16
th when they take on Bridgeport. Â

"It will be good to get the team some rest after a busy start to the season," said head
Sarah McClellan. "We've had five games now to get a picture of what we really need to work on. So we will take this week to regroup and get ourselves prepared for conference play."
