ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball fell to East Coast Conference rival Daemen on Saturday afternoon, 98-73.
Junior
Peyton McLaurin led the Redhawks with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
Michael Bush added 10 points as the only other player in double digits.
Daemen's offense was nearly unstoppable on the night as the Wildcats shot just under 60-percent from the field on 39-of-66 shooting. The Wildcats also hit 14 three pointers in the game. While Daemen's offense was cruising the Redhawks were trying to find a rhythm after playing its last game 20 days ago. Roberts shot under 30-percent in the first half but came back in the second half with a better performance shooting nearly 56-percent.
Jeff Redband led the way for Daemen scoring 18 points and pulling down six rebounds.
The Redhawks are now 9-5 overall and 2-3 in the ECC. Daemen moves to 8-6 and 2-2 in the ECC.
Roberts will host NYIT on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Voller Athletic Center.
