Women’s Soccer Fall In Matchup Against St. Thomas Aquinas

Box Score SPARKHILL, N.Y. – The Robert's Wesleyan women's soccer team lost to conference opponent St. Thomas Aquinas College on Thursday afternoon, 1-0.
 
The Spartans kicked things off right away in this ECC contest after scoring in the 7thminute. The goal was, scored by STAC midfielder Mekenzi Moreau, found the back of the net after coming up with her own rebound, dodging a Roberts defender, and placing the ball in the lower corner past the goalkeeper.
 
The Redhawks had eight total shots on goal versus St. Thomas Aquinas' nine. The back line played a pivotal role in keeping the score line close the entire game. Also, junior goalkeeper Kelsey Brinkel played the entire game and added four saves on the season. 
 
Next up for the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team is a road trip to Flushing, N.Y. to take on ECC opponent Queens College. The game is scheduled for Saturday, October 6. Kickoff is slated to start at 12 PM.
