ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team hosted No. 14 LIU Post on Saturday but it was the Pioneers who came out on top, 16-10.
Senior
Alex Bianchi led the Redhawks with four goals. He also had one ground ball.
Cody Menzies added three goals and one assist.
Hunter Lemieux,
AJ Hems, and
Kyle Dunham each added one goal of their own.
The first quarter saw an even battle between both the nationally ranked Pioneers and the Redhawks with the score standing 3-3 heading into the second quarter of play. But from then on LIU Post took control, outscoring the Redhawks 11-2 in the second and third quarters. Leading the way for the Pioneers was freshman attacker William Snelders who finished with 10 goals and two assists.
Goalkeeper
Pat Hynes made 23 saves in his first start and full game in net of the season.
The Redhawks (4-7, 0-3 ECC) will have a two week break from competition and return on April 14
th to take on Saint Thomas Aquinas at home. The game is slated to start at noon.
