ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team fell to LIU Post on Saturday afternoon at their annual homecoming game, 3-0.
The Pioneers got on the board in the 42
ndminute to take a 1-0 lead. LIU Post's Kendra Oldroyd got a shot off, rebounding a blocked attempt prior. The next goal for the Pioneers wouldn't come until the 59
thminute in the second half when forward Julia Duffy scored off of a shot outside the box in the upper ninety part of the net. Midfielder Alice Schonfeldt scored the last goal on the day for the Pioneers in the 84
thminute. Schonfeldt's set piece outside of the box ended up in the last side of the net past the Robert's goalkeeper.
LIU Post outshot the Redhawks 20-3. The Pioneers had 13 of these shots on goal. Junior midfielder

Tiffany Melendez had one for the day. Redhawks goalkeepers, sophomore
Madison Lamarche and junior
Kelsey Brinkel split time in net. Brinkel recorded eight saves while Lamarche recorded two.
The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team (2-5-2, 1-3-0 ECC) will travel to Sparkhill, N.Y. this week to face conference opponent Saint Thomas Aquinas College. The game is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 4 and kickoff is slated to start at 1 PM.
