Razzano's Hat Trick Leads Redhawks Over Lincoln, 9-0

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. - Women's soccer has moved to 4-0 on the road with a 9-0 shutout win over Lincoln University Pa. on Friday night. 
 
Freshman Morgan Razzano lead the way for the Redhawks with an immediate goal from the kick off by moving the team to 1-0 in the first 15 seconds of the game. Less than 30 seconds later, the powerhouse freshman was on a breakaway and back for her second goal of the night. Then, at the 13 minute mark Razzano earned herself a natural hat trick and brought the Redhawks to a 3-0 lead over the Lions.
 
Roberts continued to push the pace and play a dominating offensive game throughout the first half scoring two more goals by Maya Rutland and Tiffany Melendez both at the 21st minute mark and 19 seconds apart. Defensively, Roberts only allowed one attempt at goal for the Lions and out shot them 27-1 in the first half. 
 
The second half looked similar to the first with the Redhawks keeping the pressure on Lincoln goalkeeper with another 21 shots on goal and scoring a total of four goals. Maya Rutland completed the second hat trick of the night with two more goals in the second half. Other goals were scored by: Israela Groves assisted by Genevieve Palmer, and Emily Romig.
  
Women's soccer has now moved to 7-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the East Coast Conference standings. They take on New York Tech at home on Wednesday, October 16th at 5 p.m.
