BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Roberts women's volleyball team fell short on the road against East Coast Conference opponent Bridgeport 3-0 Sunday afternoon.
 
Freshman Lauren Norwood led the team with five kills, while teammates Anastasia Smith and Kathryn Krchniak had three kills a piece.
 
After a tough first set the Redhawks responded in the second and took a 12-10 lead midway through the set following an ace from Rachel Holmes. But Bridgeport used a 7-1 run to grab the lead back and take momentum to win the set 25-20.
 
Up next, the Redhawks will face off against road rival Daemen College in Amherst, N.Y. on October 16th at 7 p.m.
