ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Roberts women's soccer team took a 4-0 loss against East Coast Conference opponent Molloy College Saturday afternoon.
The first half of the game was an even matchup between the teams when an opportunity to move past Molloy was opened up by
Israela Groves with the first shot on goal of the game. The senior shot in the low center of the net but it was saved by Lions goalkeeper Jackie Carty. The teams continued to trade shots but it was in the final two minutes of the half that the Lions found the back of the net moving them to 1-0.
The second half opened up with two immediate goals from Molloy setting the Redhawks back 3-0 by the 51st minute. The fourth and final goal for Molloy came at the 73rd minute leaving the final score 4-0.
Next up, the Redhawks will take on Daemen College on the road Saturday, October 26th. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
