ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team won its third straight East Coast Conference game on Friday night with a 96-84 win over NYIT.
Jean Toussaint put up his fourth double-double of the season scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Four other Redhawks put up double digits in the scoring category. Freshman

Peyton McLaurin each scored 15 points.
Reggie Clark had 14 points and
Justin Vaughan added 12.
After an even first half that ended with a 35-33 NYIT lead, Roberts put together a dominant second half to cruise to victory hitting eight three pointers while shooting over 60 percent from long range and 57-percent from the field. The Redhawks also crashed the boards with 22 second half rebounds compared to 12 from the Bears. Roberts pulled down 10 offensive rebounds in the second half alone.
Along with effective shooting from beyond the arc Roberts was able to attack the basket with success, scoring 48 points from the paint to just 32 from the Bears.
Roberts Wesleyan (12-9, 8-5 ECC) will look to push their win streak to four straight games on Sunday with a win over winless LIU Post. Tip-off is schedule for 4 p.m. in the Voller Athletic Center.
