SYRACUSE, N.Y. - LeMoyne College handed the RWC Men's Tennis team a 4-1 loss in both teams final regular season match. The Dolphins opened the scoring by taking first doubles. Tom Jarry and Philip Blythe defeated the Redhawks's
Guido Janssen and
Boyd Blackburn 6-1. LeMoyne sealed the doubles point when Christian Erickson and Gerardo Wibner defeated RWC's
Dennis Barlotta and
Andrew Freeman 6-4 at 3
rd doubles.
In singles action, RWC's
Guido Janssen evened the math with a 6-2,6-2 win over LeMoyne's Tom Jarry at first singles. That was all the Redhawks could get against the talented Dolphins. Blythe defeated Blackburn in straight sets at 2
nd singles. Xavier Graelis took down RWC's Tim Nacca 6-1,6-3, and Christian Erickson clinched the match with a 6-2,6-1 win over RWC's Matthew Forerest.
The Redhawks finished the regular season with a 12-11 record. They travel to New York City and take on top ranked Queens College in the first round of the East Coast Conference Championship Tournament at 11am on Friday.
