ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sophomore
Hunter Lemieux's goal with six seconds left in the game lifted the Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team to a 13-12 win over Lake Erie College on Tuesday evening.
The Redhawks had a tough start to the game going down 6-0 in the first quarter. But the team started to come alive in the second quarter with four straight goals. Lemieux got things going with Robert's first goal with 12:36 on the clock before halftime.
Collin Waden followed up with back-to-back goals and
Cody Menzies added the last goal of the stretch for the Redhawks.
Still down three goals, Lemieux netted another just before the end of the half to bring the Redhawks within two of the lead. Waden then tallied two more goals in the third quarter to tie the game up.
The remainder of the game went back-and-forth. Lemieux tied the game back up with a goal at the 4:31 mark and then came right back with the game winner with six seconds remaining.
Lemieux and Waden both scored four goals each. Lemieux also added in two assists. Menzies had one goal and three assists.

Pat Hynes made 12 saves in the winning effort.
Roberts Wesleyan (5-5, 1-2 ECC) will travel to Washington, D.C. on Saturday for a pivotal matchup against UDC. Game time is set for noon.
