Bob Segave has announced
Charles Farres as the next head men's and women's tennis coach for the Redhawks. He comes to Roberts Wesleyan after serving for two seasons as an assistant coach at Le Moyne College.

"We are very excited to have Charles aboard as the head coach for men's and women's tennis," said Segave. "Charles brings in a ton of experience from his successful playing days and has been in the coaching realm for the past few years. He is a great addition to our department."

Farres played for the Redhawks during his four-year stint at Roberts from 2012-2016. The Portsmouth, England native boasts the title of winningest athlete in Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis history with a 158-66 record. Charles was also a team captain; MVP; Team All-America and 1st team All-Conference.

Farres began to gain experience in the coaching world directly after graduating from Roberts. He served as an assistant coach under former head coach
Tom Linhart with the Redhawks before taking the same position at Le Moyne College.

"I'm excited for this opportunity," Farres said. "I'm hoping we can make the ECC playoffs and keep working from there."

The women's tennis team is set for their first home match against the College at Brockport on Sunday, September 1st at 1:00 PM.

Farres started in his new role on Monday, August 26.
