Men's Lacrosse Takes Down Alderson Broaddus, 18-3

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team got off to a hot start in their Saturday morning matchup against Alderson Broaddus University, scoring the first five goals of the game. A 5-1 Redhawks first half would set the pace for the rest of the game, a game the Redhawks would win 18-3. 

Going into the second half the Redhawks went right back on the offensive, going on another five goal run which included two goals netted by junior attacker Hunter Lemieux. Alderson Broaddus would end the Redhawks run adding two more goals before the momentum switched back to Roberts with a Matt Gademske goal at 3:20 left in the third quarter.The Gademske goal would be the first in what would be an eight goal Redhawks run to close the game. 

Hunter Lemieux led the Redhawks with five goals, also tallying one assist. Matt Gademske scored 3 goals to go along with a team leading 6 assists and also led the Redhawks with 9 points. Nate Maloney, Reid Jackowski and Dan Doviak also netted 2 goals. 

The Redhawks put up a total of 47 shots throughout the game including 31 on goal. The Redhawks won the faceoff battle 19-6 and ground balls 32-15. Mitch Streety went 16-20 on faceoffs. 

Roberts improves to 2-2 overall and will be back in action Wednesday, March 4th on the road against Seton Hill University.
