ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Roberts women's volleyball team fought hard Tuesday evening to stick with the East Coast Conference's top team Daemen, but the Redhawks couldn't pull the upset dropping to the Wildcats, 3-0.
A 7-1 run in the first set gave the Redhawks life and narrowed the Daemen lead to just three, but it was too late into the set as Daemen claimed a 25-21 set win.
Roberts got off to a positive start in the third set taking a 12-7 lead but the Wildcats used a 7-1 run of their own to grab the lead and fend off Roberts to take the match.
Emily Rowlison and
Sydney Yanak both had six kills.
Madison Truong had 17 assists and
Teagan Weber came up with 14 digs.
Roberts will be back in the Voller Athletic Center on Thursday for its final home game of the season against D'Youville. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
