UTICA, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's swimming teams competed in a tri-meet against Utica College and Wells College on Saturday.
The men's team defeated Utica, 125-66 and the women's team defeated Utica, 135-109.
The Redhawks completed the meet with 17 first place finishes.
Headlining the meet was freshman
Mya June in the 1,000 yard freestyle race where she set a new program record with a time of 11:41.93. June took first place, winning the race by well over full minute. June also grabbed wins in the 100 yard butterfly (1:03.02), 100 yard freestyle (57.11), and 400 yard freestyle relay (4:00.80).
Collin Webb won four events for the men's team, winning the 50 yard breaststroke (31.25), 100 yard freestyle (49.47), 200 yard medley relay (1:55.06), and 400 yard freestyle relay (3:45.42).
The Redhawks are back in competition again on Dec. 3 & 4 at the ECC Invite hosted by the College of Staten Island.
