Men's Lacrosse Scores 13 Straight in Victory Over Walsh, 2/21

NORTH CANTON, O.H. - The Redhawks traveled to Ohio over the weekend to face off against Walsh University for both teams' first games of the season. After a 7-goal run by the Cavaliers, the Redhawks answered with 13 straight goals to nab their first win of the season. The final score read 14-7.

Junior Midfielder Michael Pierog scored the first goal of the game less than two minutes into it. The Cavaliers dominated the rest of the first and beginning of the second quarters, netting 7 straight goals. Pierog was able to end the drought and begin the Redhawks run as he scored his second goal of the game with 5 minutes left until half time. It was up from there as the Redhawks didn't allow any more goals for the game and scored 13 straight by seven different players.

Senior Attacker Hunter Lemieux totaled 4 goals on 6 shots-on-goal for the Redhawks. Pierog and Senior Attacker Matt Gademske netted 3 goals each.
