BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's swimming and diving programs jumped into the 2022-2023 season on Saturday at the Bengal Relays Meet hosted by Buffalo State College.
The exhibition meet featured 11 events, which included nine mixed relay events and two diving events.
"It was a great start to the season and the team swam really well," said head coach
Sara Smith. "There was a lot of fast swimming for this early in the season, which is encouraging to see as we prepare for upcoming competition."
The Redhawks took third place in both the mixed 400-yard freestyle relay and the 500-yard crescendo relay.
In the 400-yard freestyle Roberts swam a time of 3:53.05.
Casey Webb, Grace McNamara,
Mya June, and
Andon Fedor made up the relay squad.
In the 500-yard crescendo relay the Redhawks team consisted of Webb, June,
Rennee Rozler, and
Gabe Rivers. The team posted a time of 4:55.47.
Roberts will host Cazenovia and Medaille on October 22 at 1 p.m. in the Voller Athletic Center for the first scored meet of the season.
