AMHERST, N.Y. – The Roberts women's volleyball team fell to Daemen University on Wednesday night, 3-1.
 
The Redhawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead after a 25-23 first set win over the Wildcats, who are undefeated in East Coast Conference play. Freshman 
Morgan Verbridge had four of her five total kills in the first set alone to give the Roberts' offense life. Sophomore 
Sydney Yanak ended the set with an ace. The Redhawks came up with eight total aces on the night.
 
Daemen took the succeeding three sets to win their ninth ECC match of the season.
 
Yanak had eight kills for Roberts. Senior 
Charlotte Orgill had one of her best games of the season with seven kills and four blocks.
 
The Redhawks will travel back to Buffalo on Friday for a 7 p.m. match against D'Youville. Roberts has two wins against the Saints this season.
