ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Redhawks saw a 2-0 lead slip away on Friday night as the Roberts women's volleyball team fell to Queens College 3-2.
Roberts took control of the first two sets of the match winning 25-20 and 25-21. Leading the way on offense was Olivia Price with 17 kills. The Redhawks then had Queens on the ropes in the third after fighting back from deficits the entire set. Down 23-20, Roberts strung together four straight points to be the first team to set point at 24-23. The Knights found an answer to keep the match alive and won the set 28-26.
Queens won the fourth set 25-21 and fifth set 15-7.
Caleigh Schroeder led the team in assists with 20, followed by Sarina Pasquantonio with 16. Schroeder also had 15 digs.
Roberts celebrated its lone senior, Charlotte Orgill prior to the game. Orgill will graduate in May with a degree Studio Art.
The Redhawks host Molloy on Saturday at noon for the final match of the regular season.
