ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's volleyball team fell to Brockport, 3-0 on Wednesday evening in its home opener.
After getting a slow start in the first set and facing a 7-1 deficit, the Redhawks rallied back with a six-point run midway through the set to come within three points of the lead at 16-13. Brockport answered and went on to win the set 25-16.
The Golden Eagles controlled the second and third sets to finish the three-set win.
Laura Amaya had six kills to lead the Redhawks.
Teagan Weber finished with 13 kills on the night.
Roberts (1-4) travels to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania tournament this weekend for four matches. The team will play D'Youville on Friday at 11 a.m. to start the tournament.
