AMHERST, N.Y. – Freshman Ryan Garwood scored a career-high 11 points for the Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team in an 82-65 loss to host Daemen University in an East Coast Conference game on Wednesday night.
Junior Abou Gbane led the Redhawks (5-9, 3-3 ECC) with 15 points. Gbane and Ja'Kair Sanchez each grabbed five rebound and freshman Ryan Hudson added five steals and five assists for Roberts.
The game was close early before Daemen (10-6, 3-3) used a 13-2 run to take control. The Wildcats also held a 51-23 advantage in rebounds.
Roberts returns to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday to take on ECC rival D'Youville at the Voller Athletic Center.
