ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team overcame an 11-point first half deficit to pull in front of visiting Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon, but the visiting Purple Knights outscored the Redhawks 39-26 down the stretch to earn a 75-62 non-conference victory at the Voller Athletic Center.
Senior
Malik Brooks drilled a three-point shot with 17:26 to play to give Roberts a 37-36 lead rallied to win its seventh straight game.
Brooks led the Redhawks (2-6) with 17 points.
Junior
Isaiah Elmore added 12 points and 13 rebounds and junior
Anastasios Zetos contributed 11 points.
The Redhawks collected more than 150 toys for the Pirate Toy Fund at the game.
Roberts has two non-conference home games next week before the semester break. The Redhawks host Mansfield University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Felician University at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
