LONG ISLAND, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's indoor track and field team placed fourth at the East Coast Conference Championships on Sunday evening at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
The Redhawks had three individuals get first place finishes with several others earing top-3 finishes to earn all-conference status. Roberts scored 74.33 points. Holy Family were the ECC Champions.
Acacia Barber had a first and second place finish with a win in the 3,000m, crossing the line in 10:37.18 and a runner-up spot in the mile, posting a time of 5:08.46.
Kylee Odell won the 1,000m in 3:04.41 and placed third in the mile with a time of 5:13.93.
Freshman
Rachel Horner-Richardson won the 5,000m in 18:48.21 and was joined by teammate
Jennifer Zambuto in second who crossed the finish line in 18:56.13. Zambuto also was third in the 3,000m with a time of 10:53.06.
Junior
Hailee Lowe had three top five performances. The Alexander, N.Y. native set the best mark in the 60m hurdles prelims with a time of 9.33, and then finished 5
th in the event after running 9.51 in the finals. Lowe was fourth in the long jump (4.91 meters) and fourth in the high jump (1.50 meters)
In the throws,
Moriah Mills toss of 13.59 meters in the weight throw was good for a fourth-place finish.
Roberts will open the outdoor track and field season in the middle of March.
