Box Score SPARKILL, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team clicked on all cylinders on Saturday.
Graduate student
Reid Jackowski totaled seven points on three goals and four assists and the Redhawks outscored STAC 8-0 in the second quarter en route to a 23-8 victory in an East Coast Conference game on a wet and windy afternoon on Spartan Field.
Senior
Dan Doviak contributed three goals and three assists and sophomore
Gunner MacMillan tallied four goals and an assist for the Redhawks (6-3 overall, 1-1 ECC).
"We executed well," Roberts coach
Rocky Delfino said. "We scored some fast-break goals, some settled goals and really played well in all aspects."
Roberts registered 63 shots and scooped 50 ground balls in the game. Freshman Isaac Marrerro went 23-for-33 on face-offs and led the way with 13 ground balls.
Lucas Marshall,
Ethan Brown and
Curtis Denison all scored two goals and
Jordon Deats,
Ryan Prine,
Jacob Zimmerman and
Carson Kummer each added a goal and assist.
Parker Bossard,
Brady Kustra and
Matt Walsh also scored for Roberts.
Andy Davis and
Garrett Kayser split time in goal, with each making two saves.
"Everybody played and everybody came out of the game healthy," Delfino said.
The Redhawks host the University of the District of Columbia in an ECC tilt at noon on April 1.
