PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team took twice as many shots, but Pace University scored the only goal of the match and earned a 1-0 non-conference victory over the Redhawks on Tuesday.
Roberts outshot the Setters 14-7 and owned an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal, but Keely Donovan's first goal of the season held up.
Nicolette Knauf made four saves for Roberts (4-7-1) and
Alyssa Hackett placed four shots on goal. Hackett and Pace's Donovan were teammates at Saint Peter's University last season.
The Redhawks return to action on Saturday for a non-conference match at Wilmington University.
