ROCHESTER, NY – Junior Olivia Price had a team-leading 13 kills and connected on .524 attacks to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over Lock Haven University Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at the Voller Athletic Center.
Roberts (11-8 overall) won by set scores of 25-20, 25-14 and 25-20.
Price was nearly automatic with her attacks as she connected on 13 of 21 swings with just two attack errors on the day. She added nine digs and a pair of aces. She recorded four kills in each of the first two sets and added five more in the final set.
Price had back-to-back kills late in the third set as the Redhawks went on a 3-0 run to take a 23-20 lead late in the final set.
Seniors Sydney Yanak and Jaycee Karelus and sophomore Camryn Karelus added seven kills each. Senior Teagan Webber led the defense with 13 digs and junior Caleigh Schroeder added 12 digs and dished out a team-leading 32 assists. Junior Morgan Verbridge chipped in four kills and had a team-high five blocks.
The Redhawks return to conference play next weekend with home matches against St. Thomas Aquinas (12 p.m. Saturday) and Mercy (12 p.m. Sunday) at the Voller Athletic Center.
