ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's volleyball team played a tightly contested match against Division I Independent Thomas More on Saturday in the Voller Athletic Center.
Thomas More took the first set 25-20, won the second set 25-23 and edged the Redhawks 34-32 in an epic third set to win the match.
Freshman Griffin Monrad paced Roberts (4-10) with 15 kills and 2 aces while junior Jonah Grbic contributed 9 kills, 2 blocks and 11 digs.
Riley Green set for 32 assists and Moises Jimenez provided 9 digs. Noah Liousfi and Paul Fillion both registered three blocks.
The Redhawks will travel to Dominican University of New York for their next match on Saturday, March 9.
