Box Score WINONA LAKE, IND. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team's season came to an end in the seventh-place game at the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I Championship on Friday afternoon.
The Redhawks trailed by 17 points with 15:30 to play but staged a late comeback, ultimately dropping an 87-83 decision to Asbury University.
Malik Brooks scored 28 points to lead Roberts (13-16). Brooks scored 83 points, an average of 27.7 per outing, in three NCCAA games.
Ryan Garwood scored 19 and
Marat Belhouchet added a career-high 14 for the short-handed Redhawks.
Jermaine Taggart II finished with 12 points and
Ryan Hudson tallied 10 for Roberts.
