ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Malik Brooks has been honored by the Rochester chapter of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association for the second straight season.
Brooks, a 6-foot, 3-inch senior guard from Lockport, N.Y., repeated as a first-team selection after averaging 18.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals while shooting .497 from the field. Brooks, a first-team All-East Coast Conference selection, ranked fifth in the ECC in scoring, third in field goal percentage, fifth in steals and 10
th in assists.
Junior guard
Kevin Constant received honorable mention after averaging 15.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals while shooting an ECC-best 57.3 % from the field. A Lawrence, Mass., native, the 6-1 Constant ranked second in the ECC in steals and eighth in scoring. He was named third-team All-ECC.
Roberts finished 13-16 and advanced to the ECC semifinals for the fourth straight season.
