Box Score FROSTBURG, MD. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team held a two-goal lead after the first quarter of play, but saw its season come to an end with a 15-7 loss to Frostburg State in the semifinal round of the East Coast Conference Championship.
Seniors
Jordon Deats and
Dan Doviak and junior
Gunner MacMillan all finished with two goals and an assist for the third-seeded Redhawks, who finished their season with a 10-6 record.
Freshman
Colton Ugine also scored for Roberts while
Preston Steve and
Jacob Zimmerman each contributed an assist.
Isaac Marrero and
Brady Kustra led the Redhawks with five ground balls apiece while sophomore defender
Connor Pearce caused five turnovers. Sophomore
Garrett Kayser made seven saves.
Roberts also fell to Frostburg in last year's ECC semifinal.
Frostburg (13-3), the No. 2 seed, limited the Redhawks to two goals over the final three quarters. The Bobcats will play at top-seeded Mercy in the ECC championship game at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
