ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's cross country team, which has won nine consecutive East Coast Championships, is ranked first in the 2024 ECC Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released this afternoon.

Roberts received six of the seven first-place votes and finished with 48 points. Daemen received the other first-place vote and ranks second with 41 points. Molloy holds down the third spot with 31 points.

"Nothing is a given in cross country," Roberts' Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Andrew Dorr said. "We are planning to work hard, stay healthy and see what the season brings."

Senior Owen White, the 2023 ECC Runner of the Year, was a unanimous choice for Preseason Runner of the Year. White won the 2023 ECC Championship by 14 seconds.

Jackson Doran, Zachary Hall and Theodore Pintabona, who were all first-team All-ECC last season, are also slated to return for the Redhawks.

Roberts opens its season on Sept. 14 at the Daemen Alumni Invitational.
