BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University field hockey team applied intense pressure in the third quarter, placing 10 shots on goal, but was unable to solve the D'Youville defense in a 3-0 defeat on Wednesday night.

Freshman Makena Tooley placed three shots on goal for the Redhawks (0-3) while Justine Laverty, Annie Barsch and Jade Moncada all generated three.

D'Youville scored twice in the second quarter and once in the third.

Sophomore Avery Richardson made six saves for Roberts.

The Redhawks host Lycoming College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
