BROCKPORT, NY – Freshman Makena Tooley scored her first career goal in the first half to give the Roberts Wesleyan Field Hockey team a 1-0 lead but Brockport answered with a late first-half goal and then added four second-half goals to take a 5-1 decision Wednesday night at Brockport.
Tooley scored with less than three minutes left in the second quarter to give the Redhawks (0-6) and early lead.
Brockport (5-3) scored with just 14 seconds left in the first half to tie the game at 1-1.
In the second half, the Golden Eagles scored once in the third quarter and then added to the lead with three goas in the final quarter for the final score.
Sophomore Avery Richardson made seven saves.
Brockport finished with a 22-2 shots advantage including a 13-2 edge in shots on goal and a 10-0 advantage in penalty corners.
Roberts returns to action on Homecoming weekend with a 4 p.m. game against Converse University on the Redhawks Turf Field.
