MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's volleyball team completed a successful weekend by going 3-1 at the Marauder Clash hosted by Millersville University.
The Redhawks split their two matches on Saturday, defeating host Millersville 3-1 (25-10, 23-25, 25-23, 22) in the opener before falling to Pitt-Johnstown 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-22) in their final match of the two-day event.
"We played well as a team," Roberts coach
Andy Braun said. "There were numerous times throughout the weekend that the team fought back from score deficits to win. They definitely showed a lot of grit."

Olivia Price registered 12 kills and
Sydney Yanak and
Jaycee Karelus both recorded 11 for the Redhawks. Price also served four aces and
Celine Malosa had five blocks.
Teagan Weber led Roberts with 19 digs and
Sarina Pasquantonio added 11.
Caleigh Schroeder contributed 48 assists and 13 digs.
Pitt-Johnstown 3, Roberts 0
The Redhawks were competitive in each set, but Pitt-Johnstown withstood their efforts to earn the victory.
Yanak and Karelus each finished with eight kills and Schroeder finished with 23 assists and 5 aces. She now has 986 assists in her career.
Malosa registered four blocks and Yanak contributed three. Pasquantonio led Roberts with 13 digs.
The Redhawks will participate in the UC Invitational at the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va., on Sept. 13 and 14.
