COLONIA, NJ – After a successful weekend at the Canisius College Alumni meet, the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Cross Country team was rewarded with both the East Coast Conference (ECC) Runner of the Week and Rookie of the week awards as sophomore Trevor Heitkamp and freshman Joel Amstutz were honored.

Heitkamp raced to a 13th-place finish to lead Roberts in Buffalo. He finished the 8K race in 25:51.2 as the Redhawks raced in the final regular-season meet before the ECC Championships race this weekend on Long Island.

Amstutz ran his best race of the season in a competitive field with a majority of Division I runners. He placed 26th overall with a personal-best time of 26:35.1 over the 8K course. He was the third Roberts runner to cross the line and helped the Redhawks to a fifth-place finish.

The Redhawks will travel to Long Island this weekend to race for another ECC title at the ECC Championships.
