ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Cami Brescia scored one goal and assisted on another to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Soccer team to a convincing 5-0 win over Felician University in the final regular-season home game of the season for the Redhawks.
Five different players scored for Roberts (6-3-4) as the Redhawks recorded the largest margin of victory since 2022 with Roberts defeated Lincoln University 7-0 early in the 2022 schedule.
Sophomore Mackenzie Hagan opened the scoring nine minutes into the game when she took a long pass from senior Kara Choate and dribbled in ahead of the defensive players and scored for the early 1-0 lead.
In the 26th minute, Roberts doubled the lead as senior Larissa Johnston finished a crossing pass from Brescia for her first goal of the year.
The score remained 2-0 until the 63rd minute when the Redhawks exploded for three goals in a span less than five minutes that was started by a penalty kick for Brescia for her first goal of the season.
Senior Alyssa Hackett added a goal a short time later to increase the lead as she finished a crossing pass from Hagen. Senior Ella White capped the scoring less than two minutes later as she cleaned up a rebound in the box and notched the fifth goal of the game for Roberts.
The five goals is the most in a game this season.
The Redhawks return to East Coast Conference (ECC) play this weekend with a trip to St. Thomas Aquinas and will finish the regular season the following Saturday at Queens College.
