GREENVILLE, SC – Juniors Takumi Horan and Archie Murphy as well as senior Jack Hopson from the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team were honored Thursday with selection to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-American Team.
Both Horan and Hopson were named as First Team All-Americans and Murphy was selected as a member of the Second Team All-American squad.
Horan was the top defender on a stingy Redhawks defense that helped the team get off to a great start to the season with a school-record 12-game unbeaten streak (7-0-5) with just 13 goals allowed in the streak and four shutouts.
Hopson anchored the midfield and finished second on the team with 14 points on five goals and four assists.
Murphy was among the national scoring leaders all season and finished with 32 points on 14 goals and four assists.
The Redhawks won the East Coast Conference (ECC) Tournament Championship for the first time in school history and earned its first NCAA Division II Tournament bid.
