AUSTIN, TX – Sophomore Antonie Pieterse improved his national rankings in his home country of South Africa over the weekend at the Toyota US Open Championships in Texas.

The Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Swimming and Diving All-American from 2025 added to his resume with impressive finishes at the championships.

He placed 20th Friday in the 100-meter butterfly event with a time of 53.89. His time ranked fourth in South Africa. On Saturday, he swam to an 18th place finish in the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 24.18. That time ranks second in South Africa.

Finally, the sophomore swam in the 100-meter freestyle as a time-trial competitor and raced to a time of 51.50 for a national ranking of seventh.
