GREENSBURG, Pa. – Junior
Curtis Denison scored two goals in his return to game action for the Roberts Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team during a season-opening 23-5 loss to nationally ranked Seton Hill University on Saturday afternoon.
Denison missed the majority of the 2024 season with an injury but found the back of the net twice in the fourth quarter for the Redhawks.
Jacob Zimmerman,
Sam Keens and
Gunner MacMillan also scored for Roberts. MacMillan,
Cody Coleman,
Colton Ugine and
Conall Walker added assists.
The Redhawks trailed 3-2 late in the first quarter before Seton Hill, who are ranked 11
th in NCAA Division II by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and 13
th by Inside Lacrosse held them scoreless for the next 36 minutes.
Garrett Kayser made 13 saves and
Isaac Marrero went 16-for-27 on face-offs for Roberts.
The Redhawks play at Emory & Henry University at 4 p.m. on Monday.
